The state’s top junior and one of the nation’s best has reopened his recruitment. Nashville Christian quarterback Jared Curtis announced on X that he has decommitted from Georgia.
On3’s Hayes Fawcett was the first to break the news. Curtis had been committed to the Bulldogs since March 23.
In his post, Curtis noted that the recruiting process has been a huge learning experience for him and that he spoke with Georgia’s coaching staff Thursday morning. He noted that he told them that it didn’t seem right to stay committed while he explored his options and took other visits.
On3’s Industry Ranking rates Curtis has a five-star prospect and the No. 8 recruit in the 2025 class. Three of the four major recruiting outlets ranks Curtis as a high four-star recruit.
ESPN has the highest ranking for him. The site ranks him as the No. 4 recruit in the country and a five-star prospect.
In a following post, Fawcett noted that Curtis told him that Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, Oregon, South Carolina and USC were the six schools standing out to him now.
Curtis is off to his best season so far leading Nashville Christian to a 6-1 record. The Eagles are averaging 46.4 points per game with Curtis under center.
This season he’s completing 68% of his passes 1,624 yards and 18 touchdowns. He’s also been a force on the ground rushing for 385 yards and 11 more touchdowns.
