Voting is now open for the Player of the Week award for Week 1 action.

The poll will be open until 6 p.m. Central time on Thursday, Sept. 2. Previous winners can only win once during the regular season.

Here are the finalists, in alphabetical order, for the Player of the Week award for Week 2:

Alex Broome, Lipscomb Academy: Broome had 15 carries for 211 yards and five touchdowns and caught six passes for 65 yards and a touchdown in a 62-7 victory over visiting Independence.

Barion Brown, Pearl-Cohn: Brown had 14 carries for 217 yards and a touchdown and caught a touchdown pass in a 26-21 win at MBA.

Jackson Hiett, Grace Christian: Hiett was 25-of-27 passing for 224 yards and four touchdowns in the Lions’ 35-33 victory over visiting Middle Tennessee Christian School.

Gabe Johnson, Whites Creek: Johnson rushed for 225 yards and a school-record six touchdowns in the Cobras’ 64-12 victory at Glencliff.

Brax Lamberth, Green Hill: Lamberth had 30 carries for 259 yards and three touchdowns in a 35-16 win at Kenwood.
