Lots of things can change between now and the end of Friday’s games with regards to playoff seeding, but for a handful of teams, they cannot sit back and let things come to them.
No fewer than four games involving area teams are elimination games where the winner advances to the playoffs and the loser’s season is over.
Blackman (at Cookeville), Spring Hill (vs. Lawrence County), Rossview at Lebanon and Greenbrier at White House are essentially playoff games a week early. Many other games will determine the final seeds in a lot of regions, with the exception of a handful of Division II-AAA games, as that class has another week to sort things out before their postseason starts.
