Opening Drive (Sept. 27): Not-so-neighborly love

A largely non-region schedule awaits the area in Week 6, meaning getting out of this week healthy is crucial with the stretch run just ahead.

Plenty of intriguing games are on the docket, including the Backyard Brawl between Blackman and Riverdale. We’ll be keeping tabs on that game and many others, but we’ll be at Macon County as the Tigers take on neighboring Trousdale County for our Midstate Spotlight Game of the Week.
