615 Preps Week 10 Area Rankings: Smyrna, Liberty Creek slide back into rankings after wins

Most of the top-ranked teams held their ground last week with several having the week off, and others winning their respective contests as fall break wraps up around the area.
The 615 Preps staff has put together a list of the top 10 large, medium, and small class teams in our coverage area. Large Class teams include the 29 Class 6A and Division II-AAA teams in our coverage area. Medium Class teams include 5A, 4A, and Division II-AA, totaling 25 squads. Small Class teams include 3A, 2A, 1A, and Division II-A, which contain 29 teams.
Large Class
1. Riverdale (7-1, 5-0 Region 3-6A)

One more game stands between the Warriors and the Battle of the Boro, but it is against a desperate Rockvale team that needs to find another win somewhere to keep its postseason hopes alive.
2. Brentwood Academy (6-2, 3-0 DII-AAA West Region)

The Eagles return from their off week to host a Father Ryan team that has played better at times this year, so they can’t look ahead to their Week 11 showdown with Lipscomb Academy.
3. Oakland (7-1, 4-1 Region 3-6A)

With the Riverdale game less than two weeks away, two goals emerge for the Patriots this week – take care of business quickly and stay healthy.
4. MBA (7-1, 2-1 DII-AAA East Region)

MBA has largely controlled the all-time series with McCallie, but they haven’t beaten the Blue Tornado in their last four tries. A win Friday would be their first in this matchup since 2022.
5. Antioch (8-0, 4-0 Region 5-6A)

Antioch got to the Clarksville game unscathed last year before falling and losing out on the region title, so the Bears have ample motivation to take care of business this week.

The Wildcats will be without Bo Bryan for a little while due to injury, so clinching the region title this week becomes a bit of a different challenge.
2. Nolensville (8-0, 3-0 Region 5-5A)

The Knights get one more non-region contest this week before their region title showdown with Page the night before Halloween.
3. FRA (5-3, 3-1 DII-AA Middle Region)

Still stewing from the Antioch loss, the Panthers should come back with a bit of a chip on their shoulder as they look to get back into the win column.
4. Beech (7-1, 2-0 Region 6-4A)

The Buccaneers were as convincing as they have been all year in taking care of Gallatin. With the Battle for Drakes Creek looming next week, their goal is also two-fold on Friday – stay healthy and take care of business early.

2. Nashville Christian (6-2, 4-0 Division II-A Middle Region)

The Eagles bounced back fairly well from their loss at Tyner, and they’ll travel to Ezell-Harding with a top-2 seed in sight.
3. Friendship Christian (7-1, 4-0 DII-A Middle Region)

The Commanders survived a tight one at Franklin Christian, and hope to have a bit of a quicker resolution this week in order to get ready for their battle with Nashville Christian in two weeks.
4. East Nashville (5-3, 2-0 Region 6-2A)

The first of two region road trips to close the regular season for the Eagles, who locked up a home playoff game with their win last week.

The Tigers hit the stretch run coming off their off week hoping to take care of business quickly and get their younger players some snaps in advance of their annual rivalry game with Smith County next week.
