Our thoughts on projecting the TSSAA statewide football regions for 2027-28 seasons

We’re one step closer to learning how teams will be placed in their football regions for the 2027 and 2028 TSSAA football seasons.
Those are expected to be finalized in the next few weeks, but while we wait for those, we thought we’d take a stab at what we could see happening around the state.
If you watched 615 Preps LIVE on Wednesday, you were able to see our projections for teams in our coverage area.
Two things to note as you look at these – while these are technically projections, it’s a mixture of what we think might happen and what we think should happen, based on historical regions, geographical considerations and the key point of trying to avoid four-team regions at all costs if possible (in some instances, it just isn’t).
