Voting is now open to name the 615 Preps Three Stars of the Week for Week 2, presented by Lookout Pest Control.
The top three vote-getters in the weekly poll will be named the Three Stars of the Week. Voting can be done once every 24 hours, and ends at noon Central time each Friday.
In order to be considered, stats must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Monday. Regular season honorees are ineligible to win again until the playoffs.
Here are the finalists, in alphabetical order, for the Three Stars of the Week for Week 2:
Chase Angell, Goodpasture: Angell threw five first-half touchdown passes (9, 13, 23, 38 and 66 yards) in the Cougars’ 38-0 victory over visiting Maplewood.
Lionel Brooks, Franklin Christian Academy: Brooks rushed 17 times for 301 yards and five touchdowns, caught one pass for 41 yards and had a 63-yard kickoff return in the Falcons’ 42-27 victory at Providence Academy.
Benton Fox, Eagleville: Fox was 7-of-14 passing for 121 yards and two touchdowns, and rushed eight times for 41 yards and three scores in the Eagles’ 35-0 victory over visiting Community.
EJ Gibson, Ensworth: Gibson rushed 31 times for 260 yards and four touchdowns in the Tigers’ 35-21 victory over visiting Nashville Christian.
Crews Jenkins, Brentwood Academy: Jenkins went 20-for-26 passing for 378 yards and four touchdowns in the Eagles’ 49-14 victory over visiting Brentwood.
Jeramy Laster, Beech: Laster had 317 all-purpose yards and five touchdowns in the Buccaneers’ 53-21 win over visiting Mt. Juliet. He had three rushes for 80 yards and two touchdowns, caught four passes for 78 yards and two scores, returned a kickoff 97 yards for a touchdown and returned three punts for 62 yards.
Fred Ntumba, Antioch: Ntumba had 13 tackles, five tackles for a loss and four sacks in the Bears’ 28-26 win over visiting East Nashville.
Adrian Prater, DeKalb County: Prater made a 50-yard field goal with 22 seconds remaining in the Tigers’ 23-21 victory at White House. He also made both of his extra point attempts.
