Brentwood Academy standout receiver Kesean Bowman commits to Tennessee

0 0

One of the Volunteer State’s top 2027 prospects is staying home as Brentwood Academy junior receiver Kesean Bowman announced his commitment to Tennessee Saturday afternoon and shut down his recruitment.

Bowman chose the Volunteers over Alabama, Ohio State and Vanderbilt. He picked up an offer from the Volunteers in May 2024.

A former Oregon pledge, Bowman decommitted from the Ducks last September and took an unofficial visit to Tennessee the next day.

The 6-foot-1, 170-pounder is ranked as a top-50 recruit by both Rivals and ESPN. Rials ranks him as the No. 49 overall prospect in the 2027 class and the No. 8 wide receiver while ESPN has him No. 38 overall.

247Sports ranks Bowman as the No. 70 overall player in the class and No. 11 receiver.

Bowman played a crucial role in leading the Eagles back to the Division II-AAA championship last season. He finished his junior season catching 49 passes for 665 yards and 11 touchdowns.

With his commitment, Bowman is the highest-ranked pledge in Tennessee’s 2-27 class and their fourth in-state commitment. Their other in-state commitments are Siegel four-star offensive tackle Princeton Uwaifo, Haywood three-star safety Jaden Butler and Maryville three-star linebacker JP Peace.
