0 0

January has its midway point and district play is now in full-swing with teams hitting the hardest parts of their schedules.

With that in mind, our staff once again put together their rankings for our teams in the 615. Large Class teams include 4A, 3A, and Division II-AA. Small Class teams include 2A, 1A, and Division II-A.

Here’s a look at the top girls teams in our area entering the third week of January.

Large Class

1. Ensworth (12-2): In their only game of the week, the Lady Tigers got the job done beating JPII at home 52-43.

2. CPA (16-1): The Lady Lions showed why they’re a true contender in DII-AA once again following impressive wins at Father Ryan (50-41) and at home against Lipscomb Academy (59-52).

3. Green Hill (18-1): It was a week full of massive rivalry matchups for the Lady Hawks as they beat Lebanon 45-40 but suffered their first loss of the season to Mt. Juliet by a score of 53-48.

4. Father Ryan (15-4): The Lady Irish got back on track following the loss to CPA by going to JPII and winning that rivalry game by a score of 55-49.

5. Lebanon (15-4): The Devilettes took out some frustration from the Green Hill on Hillsboro to close out the week winning that game 62-37.
