Before a single game was played for the 2025 season, seemingly everyone already had Week 6 circled.
All of that hype was well-deserved. Some region titles were likely decided, unbeaten streaks came to an end and statements were made.
Thanks to all of the chaos, there was also plenty of movement in this week’s area rankings.
The 615 Preps staff has put together a list of the top five large, medium, and small class teams in our coverage area following last week’s action. This rankings are based off of results, head-to-head matchups and current form for teams.
Large Class teams include 6A and Division II-AAA. Medium Class teams include 5A, 4A, and Division II-AA. Small Class teams include 3A, 2A, 1A, and Division II-A, and each grouping has roughly 30 teams in it.
Large Class
1. Oakland (6-0): Another week, another shut out for the Patriots. This time they did against a major rival shutting down Blackman 32-0 for their fourth shutout of the season.
2. Brentwood Academy (5-0): Week 6 was a statement week for the Eagles. They established themselves as a factor in the DII-AAA race as Larry Sanders paced them to an impressive 37-7 win over Ensworth.
3. Ravenwood (6-0): After three straight blowout wins, the Raptors faced some adversity Friday night against CPA. They overcame that adversity with a 28-21 overtime win over the Lions.
4. Antioch (6-0): Andre Adams and Brandon Goliday continue to show why they’re one of the state’s deadliest pass-catching duos. They connected 10 times for 184 yards and four touchdowns in a 45-14 win over Cane Ridge.
5. Ensworth (4-2): It was a promising opening for Ensworth as the Tigers scored on their opening drive against Brentwood Academy. Unfortunately for them, that was the last bit of success they had in their Week 6 matchup with the Eagles.
