Our Players of the Week are changing for the 2025 season.
New this year, we’ll nominate the finalists each week, but instead of one player being honored, we’ll be taking your votes to determine the Three Stars of the Week.
The top three vote-getters in the weekly poll will be named the Three Stars of the Week. Voting can be done once every 24 hours and ends at noon Central time each Friday.
In order to be considered, stats must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Monday.
Here are the finalists, in alphabetical order, for the Three Stars of the Week for Week 1:
Jamarcus Brown, Stewarts Creek: 36 carries, 258 yards, four touchdowns in the Red Hawks’ 39-36 win over visiting Centennial.
Mitchell Grandjean, Centennial: 13-of-16 passing, 341 yards and four touchdowns; six carries, 81 yards and a touchdown in the Cougars’ 39-36 loss at Stewarts Creek.
Kaedyn Marable, BGA: 10-of-13 passing for 293 yards and four touchdowns; five carries for 96 yards and two touchdowns in the Wildcats’ 48-13 win over Jackson Prep (Miss.).
Jayden McGowan, Friendship Christian: 17 carries, 223 yards and four touchdowns in the Commanders’ 34-7 victory over visiting Trousdale County.
Le’Mario Nichols, MTCS: 3-of-5 passing for 80 yards and two touchdowns; eight carries for 57 yards and three touchdowns in the Cougars’ 37-20 victory over visiting Ezell-Harding.
Jackson Stroup, Gallatin: 23-of-29 passing for 240 yards and five touchdowns in the Green Wave’s 44-28 win over visiting Hendersonville.
TJ Ward, Nashville Christian: 11 carries for 194 yards and four touchdowns; one catch for 13 yards in the Eagles’ 56-28 win at Davidson Academy.
