If you’re in the 615 this week, you’ll have plenty of choices when it comes to selecting what game you want to be at.

From rivalry games to first ever meetings, our top-10 list of games features a plethora of must-watch matchups and we’re just two weeks in.

Here’s a look at the games that made our list highlighted by the massive showdown between Ensworth and Nashville Christian

Spotlight Series Game: Ensworth (1-0) at Nashville Christian (1-0)

Jared Curtis and the Eagles put up points with ease in their opening week win over Davidson Academy. Isaac Leedham/615 Preps

After dominant Week 1 victories, these two powerhouses clash in a highly anticipated matchup featuring one of the area’s top defense’s taking on one of the area’s best offense’s.

Last week the Tigers nearly shut out an explosive Whitehaven offense en route to a 31-6 win. A wacky touchdown by West Virginia pledge Christopher Talley on the game’s final play to get Whitehaven on the board.

For the Eagles, it was the Jared Curtis and T.J Ward show in their 56-28 win over Davidson Academy. The two future Power Four players accounted for all of Nashville Christian’s touchdowns in the win.

Antioch (1-0) at East Nashville (0-1)

After taking on a 6A team to start the year, the Eagles will do so again this week as they host Antioch. Chris Brooks/615 Preps

Two of metro’s best square off Friday night in a highly-anticipated matchup.

Andre Adams and the Bears are riding high following a dominant 24-2 Week 1 win on the road at Mt. Juliet.

East Nashville enters this matchup looking for a bounce back following a tough opening week loss at Collierville. Only down seven at the half in that game, the Eagles gave up a pair of touchdowns in the second half before getting one back in that 28-14 loss.

Clarksville (0-1) at Springfield (1-0)

The 102nd meeting between Clarksville and Springfield has the Yellow Jackets looking to end a two-game losing streak to the WIldcats. Isaac Leedham/615 Preps

It’s ‘Battle of the Bridge’ week as Clarksville and Springfield square off for the 102nd time. The Wildcats enter this game winners of the three of the last four games including the last two.

Last year Clarksville won a 7-3 slugfest. This season they’re looking to keep the trophy but also get in the win column after opening the year with a 24-6 loss to Blackman.

Springfield opened the season on a better note traveling to Rossview and beating the Hawks 32-6. This year they’ll also have their starting quarterback Kason Woodson back as he missed this game in 2024.

DCA (1-0) at Jackson Christian (1-0)

Nashville Christian is the overwhelming state favorite in DII-A but figuring out the rest of the best is not an easy task as the class is fairly balanced.

These programs are right in that mix after posting 10-plus win seasons in 2024 and starting off this season with wins.

DCA rolled past Tipton-Rosemark 49-14 while the Eagles faced a bigger challenge holding off Union City 24-14.

Father Ryan (1-0) at Riverdale (0-1)

Arguably one of the most disappointing Week 1 performances belonged to the Warriors.

At home they struggled to get anything going as they turned the ball over multiple times in a 20-6 loss to Knox Catholic.

Father Ryan picked up the first win of the Zach Mettenberger era but it did not come easy. The Irish were in a slugfest with Overton that resulted in a 24-13 victory.

Gallatin (1-0) at Franklin (1-0)

Franklin head coach Josh Adkins gets the opportunity to pick up a win against the team he was originally at.

Adkins spent five seasons at Gallatin as the Green Wave’s defensive coordinator. He’ll have his hands full this week getting his squad ready for a showdown with what appears to be a revitalized Gallatin offense.

Jackson Stroup was the definition of efficient last Friday throwing five touchdowns with only six interceptions as the Green Wave rolled past Hendersonville 44-28.

Franklin’s may not have been as efficient offensively but they were on defense shutting out La Vergne 20-0.

Huntington (W.V) vs. Oakland (1-0)

Oakland hits the road Friday meeting up with Huntington (W.V.) in the midway point between the programs in Winchester, Kentucky.

The Highlanders enter the season as a bit of mystery in some ways. This will be their season-opener but last season they went 11-2 and closed the year with a one-point loss in the West Virginia AAAA state championship.

Oakland’s stars shined in their 28-14 Week 1 win over CPA. Craig Tutt scored twice, Justis Haggard found the end zone and Joel Wyatt made several big plays on the defensive side of the ball.

Page (1-0) at Green Hill (1-0)

If you’re a fan of good offensive football, this could be one of the most exciting matchups of the week.

Page is coming off an uncharacteristically high-scoring 47-34 win over Giles County. They had some defensive stars out but the offense carried the load with Isaac Otey scoring four times on the ground.

Green Hill looked every bit the part of a potential state contender dismantling Beech 38-21. The Hawks scored four times on the ground between Kannon Burroughs, Zach Cartwright and Nathan ‘Piggy’ Brogdon.

Pearl-Cohn (0-1) at CPA (0-1)

Despite the loss to Oakland, Oweb Cabell shined scoring twice. Cam Reid/615 Preps

The two teams with the state’s hardest schedules square off Friday night rocking some new uniforms. Most importantly though, they’re looking to bounce back following Week 1 losses.

Pearl-Cohn hurt itself too many times in a 17-14 loss to MBA. Alabama pledge Owen Cabell scored twice against Oakland but the Lions were shut down in the second half losing to the Patriots 28-14.

Historically this has been a back-and-forth series with CPA leading 6-5. The last two seasons have seen them split the results with the Lions winning last year’s game 21-15.

Pope John Paul II (1-0) at East Robertson (1-0)

The Indians survived a Week 1 scared holding Liberty Creek 35-28 in overtime. Scott Burton/615 Preps

This private vs. public school matchup pits two teams we expected to roll in Week 1 but instead had to escape with narrow Week 1 wins.

The Knights beat Lakeway Christian 34-27 as Zay Batten threw for 229 yards and four touchdowns. Sam Bowers caught three of those touchdown passes.

As for the Indians, this year they didn’t dispatch Liberty Creek. Instead they found themselves in an overtime thriller beating the Wolves 35-28.
