Nashville Christian running back TJ Ward commits to TCU Horned Frogs

0 0

Just a few months after watching his teammate Jared Curtis commit to Georgia, Nashville Christian standout back TJ Ward decided it was time to announce his college decision.

Like Curtis, Ward will also take his talents to a Power Four program as he announced his commitment to TCU Sunday afternoon. He chose the Horned Frogs over Auburn, Florida State, Kentucky, Ole Miss and Tennessee.

Ward didn’t get to play a ton with the Eagles last season after transferring ahead of the 2024 season, but when he did, he made the most of his opportunity. In four games he carried the ball 61 times for 653 yards and seven touchdowns.

He saved his best performance for their DII-A championship matchup with Columbia Academy. In the Eagles’ 49-21 win, Ward paced their ground game with 203 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries.

Ward is ranked as a three-star prospect by three of the four major recruiting outlets. Rivals has the highest ranking on him putting him at the No. 26 running back in the 2026 class and No. 15 player out of Tennessee.
