On June 2 Owen Cabell announced that he had picked up an offer from Alabama. That offer proved to be the pivotal moment in Cabell’s recruitment heading into his senior year.
CPA’s leading receiver over the last two seasons announced his commitment to the Crimson Tide on Monday.
The 6-foot-3, 205-pounder ranks as a three-star recruit by three oof the four major recruiting outlets. On3 ranks him as the No. 116 receiver in the country, 247Sports has him at No. 215 and Rivals has the highest ranking on him as the No. 74 receiver.
A two-year starter for the Lions during their back-to-back state title runs, Cabell as also been their best weapon outside.
As a sophomore he caught 24 passes for 442 yards and six touchdowns. Last season he followed that up by catching 43 passes for 973 yards and 13 touchdowns.
