Groves is a ranked by all four major recruiting outlets as a four-star recruit this cycle. On3 ranks him as the No. 238 player in the class and ESPN has him at No. 235.

With his commitment, Tennessee now has eight pledges in its 2026 class. Of those eight, four come from Tennessee.

The other three in-state pledges are four-star receiver Tyreek King (Knoxville Catholic), four-star offensive tackle Gabriel Osenda (Baylor) and four-star tight end Carson Sneed (DCA).
