Holiday tournaments over the last week saw nearly every top team in the area boister their resume or suffer some sort of loss.
Nearly every team in the 615 played at least two games last week. Those results meant there were some changes in this week’s large and small class rankings.
Large Class teams include 4A, 3A, and Division II-AA. Small Class teams include 4A, 3A, and Division II-AA.
Here’s a look at the top 20 teams in our area entering the fifth week of the season.
Large Class
1. Nolensville (11-1): Whether it’s teams from Tennessee or teams from out of state, the Lady Knights just keep winning. They beat Winter Park (Fla.) 63-14 and Good Hope (Ala.) 63-51 in the Sandestin Beach Blowout.
2 . Lipscomb Academy (10-1): The unbeaten start for the Lady Mustangs came to an end at the Winterfest Shootout. They lost their semifinal matchup to Sevier County 58-46.
3. Page (11-3): Springfield gave the Lady Patriots a game at the Music City Hoopfest but they were able to overcome that and pick up the 62-51 win.
4. Clarksville (10-0): The Lady Wildcats were off last week.
5. Father Ryan (11-0): Teams may come close but no one has been able to crack the Lady Irish yet. Last week they traveled to the Asheville Christmas Classic beating Asheville (N.C) 48-38 and R-S Central (N.C) 51-20.

Small Class
1. East Nashville (12-0): The Lady Eagles have yet to be tested this season. Last week they beat Mercy 48-33 and followed that up a day later with a 50-33 win over Oakland.
2. Ezell-Harding (11-1): With a 52-45 win over Sebastian River (Fla.) and 35-33 win over Centennial (Fla.), the Lady Eagles have another winning streak going.
3. Nashville Christian (11-1): Competing in the Zaxby’s Christmas Classic, the Lady Eagles won both of their games. They beat McGavock 63-48 and Mt. Juliet 60-39.
4. Providence Christian (8-3): Competing in the Tampa Bay Christmas Invitational, the Lady Lions went 2-0. Both wins came in close games as they beat San Jose (Calif.) 59-54 and The First Academy (Fla.) 35-33.
5. Goodpasture (6-4): It was a mixed bag in the Zaxby’s Christmas Classic for the Lady Cougars. They lost to Olentangy Liberty (Ohio) 55-47 but beat Cane Ridge 63-50.
