One of the state’s top 2025 basketball prospects has made his college decision. Franklin small forward Christian Brown announced on Twitter that he has committed to James Madison.
Brown chose the Dukes over the likes of Appalachian State, Belmont, Murray State and others.
The 6-foot-7, 185-pounder is ranked as a three-star prospect, the No. 68 small forward and No. 4 player in Tennessee for the 2025 class according to 247Sports.
Brown was a member of the first ever 615 Preps all-area large class basketball first team this past season. He broke onto the scene last season as a junior leading the Admirals to a 21-10 record and the Region 5-4A semifinals.
During that stretch, Brown shot over 55% from the floor. He finished the season averaging 16.8 points and 10.1 rebounds to go along with 2.0 blocks and 1.3 assists.
James Madison really got involved in Brown’s recruitment earlier this year. He picked up an offer from the Duke in early May and was on campus for the first time two weeks ago.
