Lipscomb Academy four-star interior offensive lineman Chauncey Gooden made the trip to Boulder this past weekend and celebrated his birthday with the Buffaloes. He left the school with a commitment.
Gooden announced his commitment to Colorado and Deion Sanders on Monday choosing the Buffaloes over Auburn, Clemson, Georgia, Michigan, Missouri, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Carolina and Tennessee.
He visited Clemson at the end of May before this last trip to Colorado. The Buffaloes have been involved in Gooden’s recruitment for some time now extending him an offer in December 2022.
Holding offers from nearly every Power Five program in the country, On3’s Industry Ranking has Gooden ranked as the No. 317 player in the country. He ranks as the No. 24 interior offensive lineman and No. 9 player in the state for the 2025 class.
247Sports has the highest ranking on Gooden of the four major recruiting sites. they list him as the No. 185 player in the country, No. 10 interior offensive lineman and No. 3 player in the state.

Last season Gooden proved that all of the offers were no fluke.
Standing in at 6-foot-3.5 and 330-pounds, Gooden was an All-State selection kast season. He was also the 615 Preps Large Class Lineman of the Year racking up 55 pancakes blocks.
With his commitment, Colorado now has four high school pledges in its 2025 class. Gooden joins IMG Academy four-star cornerback as the two four-star pledges in that class.
