Last year’s Class 2A Mr. Football winner has found his future home.
East Robertson stand out running back Isaiah Groves announced on Twitter that he has committed to the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.
Groves held offers from multiple Power Five programs but ultimately chose to head just over four and a half hours away from Cross Plains.
Thankful for all the schools that recruited me, narrowing it down to one was a hard decision. With that being said Iām blessed to announce my commitment to Georgia Tech! šš #TogetherWeSwarm @coach_norv @er_football @CoachBrooks33 @ER_CoachA @SheltonMont12 @CoachJoe_77 pic.twitter.com/E7YtwsdPlC

According to On3’s Industry Ranking, Groves is a three-star prospect. He’s the nation’s No. 559 overall prospect, the No. 43 running back in the 2025 class and the No. 19 player in Tennessee.
Last season he played a pivotal role in leading the Indians to a 13-2 record and their first state championship appearance.
He became East Robertson’s first Mr. Football winner rushing for 3,085 yards and 31 touchdowns on 277 carries. Groves finished the year with 36 total touchdowns and 3,510 all-purpose yards.
With his commitment, Georgia Tech now has 17 pledges in its 2025 class.
