Helmet Madness, Day 2: First-round begins

Day one of Helmet Madness V helped determine the 16-seeds in each region, and day two will begin the first round as well as settle two more play-in games for higher seeds.
Here are the results from the Day 1 play-in matchups for the 16th seeds in each region:
- Brooks Region: Cannon County (65.8%) over Portland – 196 votes
- Burton Region: Lawson (68.4%) over West Creek – 206 votes
- Reid Region: Greenbrier (66.8%) over Glencliff – 196 votes
- Spears Region: Wilson Central (56.7%) over Hunters Lane – 247 votes
With the 16 seeds determined, here’s how the bracket now looks entering day 2 (slide to see each region):
The schedule is as follows:
- March 21-24: First round (one region per day)
- March 25-26: Second round (two regions per day)
- March 27: Round of 16
- March 28: Quarterfinals
- March 29: Semifinals
- March 30: Championship
