After a week off thanks to Mother Nature, basketball returned to the 615 last week in force. As teams knocked some rust off, there were bound to be changes in this week’s 615 Preps basketball rankings.
Large Class teams include 4A, 3A, and Division II-AA. Small Class teams include 2A, 1A, and Division II-A.
Rankings are based on overall success current form for each teams. While teams may have beaten each other earlier in the season, we look at the current form of teams compared to each other.
With that in mind, here’s a look at this week’s 615 Preps large and small class girls rankings:
Large Class
1. Clarksville (20-0): Rossview gave the Lady Wildcats a scare but they held on for the 46-38 road win. Kirkwood and Springfield didn’t pose much of a threat for Imari Berry and co. with Clarksville winning those two games by an average of 39.5 points.
2. Lebanon (18-5): It was a relatively easy week for the Devilettes. They opened the week with a 63-31 win over LaVergne and followed that win up by beating Smyrna 69-26 and Wilson Central 65-35.
3. Father Ryan (19-2): They didn’t do much offensively but the Lady Irish picked up both of their wins using strong defense. They beat Brentwood Academy 34-22 and held on for a 35-32 win overILipscomb Academy.
4. Macon County (15-5): The Tigerettes played host to White House and Greenbrier walking away from each game with a double-digit win. On Tuesday they beat White House 45-35 and they closed out the week with a 49-35 win over Greenbrier.
5. Cane Ridge (10-5): The Lady Ravens have been one of the more underrated teams in the state this year. They made a statement last week beating Hunters Lane by 54, Overton by 15 and Hillsboro by two in double overtime.

Small Class
1. Cheatham County (19-2): The Lady Cubs returned to action on the road with a 51-31 win over White House Heritage. They kept up their momentum a few days later with a 56-51 road win over East Hickman.
2. East Robertson (11-4): The Lady Indians only played once last week but they were dominant in that one showing crushing Jo Byrns 79-47.
3. PCA (14-4): It was a rough outing for the Lady Lions against Webb-Bell Buckle as they fell 49-29 on the road. They rebounded later in the week beating MTCS 55-49 and GCA 49-28.
4. FRA (16-5): MTCS and Columbia Academy each gave the Lady Panthers a scare with FRA winning those two games six total points. Aside from those two games, they crushed USN 68-19 earlier in the week.
5. Goodpasture (15-3): The Lady Cougars made it seven wins in a row last week and they did so in dominant fashion. On Tuesday they beat Clarksville Academy 52-45 and on Friday they cruised past Davidson Academy 56-24.
