Siegel junior cornerback Tarrion Grant isn’t wasting anytime making his college. On Sunday, the four-star cornerback out of Murfreesboro announced his commitment to Purdue.

He chose the Boilermakers over Louisville, LSU, Oregon and Virginia Tech.

With his pledge, Grant becomes the fifth commitment in Purdue’s 2025 recruiting class. He’s the Boilermakers’ highest-ranked 2025 pledge this cycle joining three-star EDGE Keylan Abrams (DeSoto), three-star quarterback Sawyer Anderson (Dallas) and three-star running back Ziaire Stevens (Akron).

Grant is one of the state’s top prospects in the 2025 class. According to On3’s Industry Rankings, he ranks as the nation’s No. 36 player, the No. 6 cornerback and the No. 2 player in the state.

Rivals has the highest-ranking of him out of any of the four major recruiting websites. The site ranks him as the No. 36 player in the country. 247Sports has him at No. 52, On3 has him at No. 80 and ESPN at No. 105.

A 6-foot-3 180-pound two-stay standout for the Stars, Grant established himself as one of the state’s top players this past season.

Defensively he was only targeted 11 times in 12 games batting five those passes down. He finished the season with 30 tackles including two for loss.

Grant was also Siegel’s top offensive weapon. He hauled 29 receptions for 465 yards and five touchdowns.

With his decision, Grant sets the tone for the rest of the in-state’s top 2025 prospects becoming the first in the class to announce his college decision.
