Week 11 is here which means that the postseason kicks off in a little over a week. The 615 is loaded with elite high school football talent year-in and year-out.
This year is no exception.
The 615 Preps crew decided to switch some things up and now that the regular season is nearing its end, the guys decided to put together their dream team for the year.
Please note that these do not replace our end-of-season awards or All-Area teams.
Here’s a look at who Cam thought deserved to be on his team.
Offense
Quarterback
Keshawn Tarleton, Pearl-Cohn, Sr.: The easiest way to have a matchup nightmare offense is to have a QB that can run and pass. Tarleton fits that bill perfectly leading the Class 4A No. 1 ranked Firebirds to an undefeated record thus far.

Running backs
Ty Clark III, FRA, Sr.: Clark is without a doubt the best kept secret in middle Tennessee. He runs the ball extremely well but his pass catching abilities out of the backfield will give linebackers fits all afternoon. He has garnished some power 5 looks, expect him to find a spot on a roster at the next level.
Tyson Wolcott, Friendship Christian, Friendship Christian, Sr.: Great things come in small packages but Wolcott doesn’t run like a normal 5-foot-7, 160-pound running back. He has lead the way for defending DII-A state champion Friendship Christian this season. Wolcott has over 2,000 yards on the campaign with 34 Td’s.
Wide receivers
Arnett Hayes, BGA, Jr.: Hayes leads all 615 area wide receivers in receiving yards and has double digit touchdowns. Hayes gives this team great athleticism as he also is a basketball recruit.
Brock Montgomery, Riverdale, Sr.: I’ll start by quoting my favorite movie, Remember the Titans. “That’s a bad white boy”. The transfer has done nothing but come in and help Braden Graham to what should be at least a Mr. Football finalist position. The 6-foot-3 receiver can do it all including several “You got Moss’d” catches this season.
Dillon Lorick, Lipscomb Academy, Sr.: Lorick has been one of the only consistent factors on offense for the Mustangs. The 3-star East Carolina commit has battled through three quarterback changes but has still managed to put up solid numbers in a struggling offensive season for LA.
Offensive linemen
Chauncey Gooden, Lipscomb Academy, Jr.: Gooden is of the most violent offensive linemen in our area is this mauler. He anchors a Mustang line that is replacing several pieces but has held up well this season.
Javier Gaspar, Smith County, Sr.: At 6-foot-4 and 345-pounds, “Javi” will complete the trio of Gaspar, O’Connell, Gooden on the interior. Yeah, who wants to deal with that! Gaspar is a true student of the game with good football IQ and has played multiple positions throughout his career.
John Wayne Oliver, CPA, Sr.: Old School…. If that’s not enough just look at his face mask, or what’s left of it. The man has enough pancakes to open his own House of Pancakes. Oliver is as physical as you’re going to find but is also finesse enough to earn the start at RT for this team.
Luke Masterson, FRA, Sr.: Ty Clark will definitely love to still be able to run behind his left tackle in this offense. Masterson is a North Carolina commit. At 6-foot-7 and 275-pounds he is a mammoth human being and will bring great physicality to the line.
Ronan O’Connell, Page, Sr.: O’Connell missed a few games to begin the year but has since done nothing but lead a Patriot offensive line that is one of the best in our coverage area. The Clemson commit stands at 6-foot-4, 290-pounds but is very smooth for a man of his size and will bring some grittiness to the interior offensive line.
Athlete
Daune Morris, Oakland, Jr.: Welcome to the 615 Daune! With over 1,000 yards rushing and double digit touchdowns, Morris brings yet another matchup nightmare. No matter where he is on the field, the opposing team will have to find 17 or it will be too late.

Kicker
London Bironas, Brentwood Academy, Jr.: A Bironas once again may possibly be the best kicker in Nashville. London is for sure making his late father, Rob, extremely proud with a boom stick of a right foot he has. Bironas is a 5-star kicking recruit and for good reason. With Bironas we have a chance for points every time we make it inside the 40.
Defense
Defensive Linemen
Eric Hazzard, Page, Jr.: Hazzard is one of the most underrated players in Middle Tennessee. He has 16 tackles for loss and 8 sacks, but in this defense they can’t just run away from him.
Ethan Utley, Ensworth, Jr.: Utley is one of the most dominant defensive lineman to come through our area in some time. Teams simply have to run away from him. That will not be an option this time.
Glenn Seabrooks III, Davidson Academy, Sr.: Seabrooks missed time early on but make no mistake, Vanderbilt is getting a dawg. Seabrooks is the best defensive lineman in one of the toughest regions around our area. Going up against the likes of Luke Masterson and John Wayne Oliver have done nothing but show why Seabrooks is an SEC caliber lineman.

Linebackers
Atticus Fiorita, Mt. Juliet, Jr.: Yet another dawg! Atticus leads the Midstate with 13 sacks. At OLB he will give great pressure opposite of Hazzard and give opposing offenses no where to roll out to.
Cole Gregory, Trousdale County, Sr.: Did you really think I wasn’t going to put a Trousdale County player on the list? Cole is a four-year starter at linebacker for the Yellow Jackets. Gregory is the epitome of a football player as he plays ILB, QB, and also snaps on special teams. Gregory has 73 tackles, 8 TFL, and 6 sacks as well as over 1,931 pup yds with 19 touchdowns. He deserves this recognition.
Edwin Spillman, Lipscomb Academy, Sr.: Spillman will be the punisher of this defense. One of the hardest hitting LBs in the state, Spillman enjoys delivering pain. He is a freak athlete that has also seen time in the Mustang offensive backfield.
Zeion Simpson-Smith, Pearl-Cohn, Sr.: Simpson-Smith has over 20 TFL’s and will help keep contain in this defense. Zeion should be a Mr. Football finalist and is one of the state’s best linebackers.
Defensive Backs
Jackson Mathews, CPA, Sr.: What can I say, this guy just finds the football. Mathews is a Tennessee PWO and that is simply by choice because what a steal the Vols are getting with him. Mathews will keep an eye on everything over the top.
Jaylen Thompson, Riverdale, Sr.: Thompson is the leader of a warrior defense that has faired well against the pass this season. The Michigan State commit will not allow this team to be beaten deep. He also has the hands to catch the ball as he has been the No. 2 target for breakout QB Braden Graham.
Kaleb Beasley, Lipscomb Academy, Sr.: Beasley may be the best man corner in the state. His ability to stay with players like Amari Jefferson and Shavar Young makes him my CB1.
Ondre Evans, CPA, Sr.: If Beasley is not the best man corner, than Evans is. The Georgia commit is destined to play on Sundays at this rate. The rare combination of speed, lateral quickness, and size are all great attributes to round out this stellar DB group.
Athlete
Dominic Reed, Centennial, Sr.: Reed has been the catalyst for a great first season for Coach Jamal Stewart and the Centennial Cougars. Dominic is almost a lock to be a semi-finalist for Mr. Football and for great reason. As an athlete you help your team in every way possible, and Dominic Reed has done just that this season.
Punter
Peyton Hix, Smith County, Sr.: With 27 punts averaging 40.4 per punt and pinning 11 of 27 inside the 20, Hix adds a threat to the punting game in hopes of pinning opponents deep.
