Vote for the Miracle Auto Group Player of the Week for Week 2!

0 0

Fans can cast their vote for the Miracle Auto Group Player of the Week award for Week 2’s games.

The poll will be open until 6 p.m. Central time on Tuesday, Aug. 30. Votes can be cast once every 30 minutes (per IP address, so if multiple devices are on the same Wi-Fi network, only one can vote every 30 minutes).

The fans’ vote does not determine the winner. The 615 Preps team will also cast their votes on the Midstate :48 this week and the fans’ top vote-getter will represent the fans’ vote on the show. If there is a tie, the player that finished higher in the fans’ voting will break the tie (not necessarily the fans’ top vote-getter).

Here are the finalists, in alphabetical order, for the Player of the Week award for Week 2:

Jaylen Abston, Lebanon: Abston completed 12-of-17 passes for 267 yards and four touchdowns and added a rushing TD in the Blue Devils’ 43-3 victory over visiting Wilson Central.

Arion Carter, Smyrna: Carter rushed 19 times for 81 yards and two touchdowns, had 14 tackles (10 solo), a sack and a forced fumble in the Bulldogs’ 33-12 victory at Rockvale.

Ty Clark III, FRA: Clark rushed 25 times for 200 yards and two touchdowns, and caught four passes for 77 yards in the Panthers’ 35-0 victory over visiting Silverdale Academy.

Kade Hewitt, Oakland: Hewitt rushed for 187 yards and four touchdowns and passed for 44 yards in the Patriots’ 56-33 victory over visiting Madison Ridgeland (Miss.) Academy.

Thomas Jones, Smyrna: Jones returned two interceptions for touchdowns, made two tackles and caught one pass for 24 yards in Smyrna’s victory.

Deuce Scott, Brentwood Academy: Scott racked up 230 rushing yards and three touchdowns, as well as a touchdown reception in the Eagles’ 28-17 victory over visiting CPA.

Musa Wellman, Goodpasture: Wellman racked up 5.5 sacks and rushed six times for 78 yards and a touchdown in the Cougars’ 14-12 victory over visiting Nashville Christian.
