Vote for the First National Bank Player of the Week for Round 2!

Voting is now open for the First National Bank Player of the Week award for second-round playoff action.

The poll will be open until 7 p.m. Central time on Tuesday, Nov. 16. Votes can be cast once every 30 minutes (per IP address, so if multiple devices are on the same wifi network, only one can vote during that time).

Regular season winners can win again, however, playoff winners can only win once in the postseason prior to the BlueCross Bowl.

Here are the finalists, in alphabetical order, for the Player of the Week award for Round 2:

Amarion Ford, East Nashville: Ford rushed for 296 yards and four touchdowns on 37 carries in the Eagles’ 49-14 win over visiting Waverly.

Aden Hooper, MTCS: Was 9-of-13 for 142 yards and four touchdowns and rushed 15 times for 132 yards in a 42-23 win over visiting Trinity Christian in the DII-A quarterfinals.

Andrew Paige, Beech: Paige caught five passes for 157 yards and three touchdowns and rushed for 57 rushing yards and a touchdown in the Buccaneers’ 45-7 victory over visiting Clarksville.

Jayden Robinson, Pearl-Cohn: Robinson had 27 carries for 224 yards and two touchdowns in the Firebirds’ 31-21 victory at Hardin County.

Courtland Simmons, Davidson Academy: Simmons had 19 carries for 196 yards and two touchdowns in the Bears’ 42-24 victory at Knoxville Webb.

Andrew Southard, Pope John Paul II: Southard’s three field goals – including the game-winning 24-yard field goal as time expired – gave the Knights a 24-21 victory at Brentwood Academy.

Josh Strickland, Nashville Christian: Strickland rushed 23 times for 240 yards and four touchdowns in the Eagles’ 35-14 win over visiting Jackson Christian.

Destin Wade, Summit: Wade rushed for 208 yards and two touchdowns and passed for 56 yards and a touchdown in the Spartans’ 21-3 victory over visiting Brentwood.
