This week is a good week for Middle Tennessee games, especially when it comes to top-five teams squaring off.
Of course, there’s the Battle of the ‘Boro between Oakland and Riverdale, ranked first and fifth in Class 6A, respectively. Just mentioning that game is enough to warrant discussion.
But a couple of others in Division II also have a pair of top-five teams getting after it. In Division II-A, second-ranked and unbeaten DCA hosts fourth-ranked King’s Academy. In Division II-AAA, Father Ryan (which just jumped into the No. 5 spot this week) hosts second-ranked McCallie. Both of those carry significant playoff implications in the latter portion of the season.
Others to watch this week include Summit hosting Shelbyville, Brentwood hosting Franklin and CPA hosting Goodpasture.
