Citizens Bank Player of the Week – Week 4

0 0

The fans’ vote lifted Oakland’s Victor Stephenson this week, as the Patriot senior took home the Citizens Bank Player of the Week award.

It was a wide-open race, but Stephenson pulled away with 31 percent of the fans vote to get their nomination. Though 615 Preps Podcast co-hosts Chris Brooks and Scott Burton were split on their choices (Eagleville’s Trevor Collins and Brentwood’s Cade Granzow, respectively), the fans’ vote served as the tiebreaker, giving Stephenson the nod.

Previous winners’ results from last week:

Week 1: Ray Banner, La Vergne: Banner rushed 23 times for 113 yards and two touchdowns in the Wolverines’ 45-33 loss at Lebanon.

Week 2: Junior Colson, Ravenwood: Colson had 10 tackles, including two for a loss, and two quarterback pressures in the Raptors’ 37-29 loss to Arkansas’ Pulaski Academy.

Week 3: Trevor Andrews, Ravenwood: Andrews completed 12-of-25 passes for 176 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions in the Raptors’ 37-29 loss to Arkansas’ Pulaski Academy.

Week 4: Victor Stephenson, Oakland: Stephenson had three touchdowns, including an 80-yard reception, a 99-yard kickoff return and a rushing touchdown in the Patriots’ 48-24 victory at Stewarts Creek.
