Player of the Week – Division I semifinals

This week’s Midstate Player of the Week for the Division I semifinals is Summit sophomore running back/linebacker Keaten Wade.

Wade rushed for 173 yards on 15 carries and scored two touchdowns (of 32 and 80 yards) in the Spartans’ 27-20 victory over visiting Dyer County in the Class 5A semifinals. Wade also had 1.5 sacks defensively in the victory.

Summit will face Knoxville Central for the championship at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6 at Tennessee Tech University’s Tucker Stadium.
