This week’s Midstate Player of the Week for the first round of the playoffs is Nolensville senior wide receiver/defensive back Tim Coutras.
Coutras scored four touchdowns in the Knights’ 47-7 victory over visiting Macon County in the first round of the Class 4A playoffs. Coutras had two catches for 67 yards and a touchdown (25 yards), two carries for 52 yards and two touchdowns (2 and 50 yards), and a 62-yard interception return for another score.
Nolensville travels to Livingston Academy for a second-round contest this week.

Middle Tennessee Christian School senior Kemari McGowan rushed 17 times for 442 yards with 7 touchdowns and 5 2-point conversions in the Cougars’ 60-22 victory at Grace Christian-Franklin in Week 9. The 442 yards set a TSSAA state record for most rushing yards by a quarterback.
