The second round (quarterfinals if you’re in Division II) features several rematches from this year’s regular season.
Among the sequels this week:
Nashville Christian won 31-14 at Fayette Academy on Sept. 1, and the Eagles will host round two.
Eagleville travels to Forrest, hoping to avenge a 28-7 loss at home to the Rockets on Sept. 6. Stratford won 22-6 at Giles County on Sept. 20, and now it’s the Spartans’ turn to host. Clarksville suffered a 35-13 loss at Henry County on Sept. 20 and will have to return to Paris in order for the Wildcats to extend their season.
Pearl-Cohn handed visiting East Nashville a 14-0 loss on Oct. 4, and the Firebirds get home-field for the rematch as well. Page left Summit with a 24-14 victory on the same night. This time, the Patriots get hosting duties. Brentwood won 24-7 at Independence on Oct. 4, but it’s the Bruins who’ll be at home on Friday.
Ravenwood won 28-15 at home against Cane Ridge in the rain on Oct. 25 – and the Raptors have been unable to play a true home game since then due to field conditions. The Ravens get to host the rematch this time around.
Baylor hosts MBA again after defeating the Big Red at home 14-6 on Oct. 25.
