Opening Drive (Oct. 8): Poll shuffle

0 0

With the new week comes new AP polls to see. Not a ton of movement in the Division I polls, though Pearl-Cohn did climb a spot to second in the Class 3A poll. The 4A poll saw all 10 teams remain in their previous spots. Beech and Gallatin each have a first-place vote in Class 5A, and Page pulled into 10th after knocking off Summit. In 6A, Stewarts Creek landed in 10th this week.

There was some shuffling in the Division II polls, most notably in Class A, where Nashville Christian leapfrogged Fayette Academy to take the top spot from USJ, whom the Eagles defeated last week.

Lipscomb Academy dropped from second to fourth in Class AA, though the Mustangs did retain a first-place vote despite their 28-7 loss to CPA.

Brentwood Academy fell from second to fifth in Class AAA after the Eagles’ loss at Knoxville Catholic.
