Voting is now open for the Citizens Bank Player of the Week for Week 6 of the 2020 high school football season.
The poll makes up one-third of the total votes for the award, as 615 Preps’ Chris Brooks and Scott Burton will cast their votes on this week’s 615 Preps Podcast, released on Wednesday morning on all major podcast providers.
Here are the nominees for this week’s Player of the Week:
Ty’Roid Good, Cane Ridge: Good returned a punt 94 and another 95 yards for scores. He also caught a TD pass in a 47-7 win over Overton.
Taylor Groves, East Robertson: Groves had 11 carries for 117 yards and four touchdowns in a 35-14 win over Jo Byrns.
Cooper Pennington, Goodpasture: Pennington completed all nine of his pass attempts for 256 yards and five TDs in a 42-12 win over McGavock.
Brendan Jones, Goodpasture: Jones had six catches for 173 yards and two TDs.
De’ontay Ramey, Hunters Lane: Ramey had seven carries for 150 yards and two touchdowns.
Jackson Mapes, White House Heritage: Mapes rushed for 59 yards and five touchdowns and returned an onside kick attempt 52 yards for a touchdown.
D.C. Tabscott, Father Ryan: Tabscott completed 6-of-8 passes for 210 yards and four touchdowns, and ran for a touchdown in a 56-0 win at Green Hill.
DeQuantay Shannon, Lebanon: Shannon rushed 17 times for 226 yards and four touchdowns, caught four passes for 53 yards, had 50 kickoff return yards and scored a two-point conversion in the Blue Devils’ 49-35 win over visiting Fairview.
