Nine games, 18 teams, three days. That’s the menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner at Tennessee Tech this week as the BlueCross Bowl state championship games play out at Tucker Stadium.
With local teams in seven of the nine title games (Class 1A and 2A the only exceptions), the midstate is represented well in the schedule.
One squad (Pearl-Cohn) seeks a perfect season, while two others (Springfield and Ravenwood) hope to spoil the perfect seasons of their respective opponents.
Summit’s searching for its first state title, while Montgomery Bell Academy looks to add number eight (in the playoff era) to its trophy case.
And two more – Davidson Academy and Christ Presbyterian Academy – want to become back-to-back champions.
Plenty to discuss on this week’s 615Preps Podcast, and plenty of coverage coming from Cookeville as well. Enjoy this week.
