There’s not a lot left but to get everyone together and do what must be done on Black Friday. No, not finding the biggest bargain only to have it wrestled away in a scrum, but figure out who’ll be in the six Division I championship games next week. One of Friday’s semifinals will be at a new site, as the Covington/Pearl-Cohn clash will now go on at Glencliff High School. Conditions at Pearl-Cohn’s field were less-than-ideal following last Friday’s quarterfinal game, and Tennessee State University’s Hale Stadium had lighting problems the last time the Firebirds played there in September.
Some insiders are already making their picks for the semifinal games. Our picks will come on Thanksgiving Day, though they’ve already been made on the 615Preps Podcast (click below).
