Fourteen teams in the 615 coverage area remain unbeaten entering Week 5 games, and 10 of those are looking to improve their records to 5-0 this week: Oakland, Wilson Central, Summit, Creek Wood, Pearl-Cohn, East Nashville, Ravenwood, Gallatin, Beech, Ensworth and BGA.
Three others – Nolensville, White House and Nashville Christian – hope to get to 4-0 with wins this Friday.
While none of the unbeatens play each other this week, there are some teams on a collision course with one another if they remain perfect. Pearl-Cohn hosts East Nashville on Oct. 4, though both face stiff tests the week before that Region 5-3A showdown. The Firebirds host Hillsboro on Sept. 27, while East Nashville gets to face another currently unbeaten team when they travel to Battle Ground Academy.
Creek Wood visits White House on Oct. 18, though both teams have tough three-game stretches before then.
Gallatin will visit Beech on Oct. 25, presumably for the Region 6-5A title. The Buccaneers still need to defeat Hillsboro before then, however. It’s possible that Gallatin might have to put its unblemished record on the line against another unbeaten next week, should Wilson Central get to 5-0 with a win at Mt. Juliet this Friday.
